Hello Sterlin , as usual you have thrown together an well thought out and articulate argument. As you know I am a counsellor working day to day at the coal face of mental health helping as diverse a range of people as one could imagine meeting in any given geographic area. I am wondering what your position on "Childhood Trauma" is or even trauma in general and its affect on individuals that present with Psychiatric symptoms. For my own part I am yet to encounter anyone that has not presented with adult symptoms that can not in some way be linked to defining moments in there lives. I am wondering what label you would like to attach to illnesses like Post Traumatic stress disorder which may be suffered by victims of chronic abuse or soldiers returning from conflict zones or a host of other reasons. Having suffered personally from this infliction for a great many years I can speak to its harmful effects so how then do we re categorise these groups of symptoms ?
I only wish I had your eloquent writing style to better discourse on this issue.
Kind regards
Marcus . In Balance Counselling
