I love this post, and totally agree. Anonymous chatrooms are where it's at. I've been helping run an anonymous anime-based forum for 7 years and 3 months now and it's always been beautiful.

We migrated over to Discord about 19 months ago and it's been a blessing. Planning our events and game nights with a good discord bot, hanging with each other in voice chats, and just plain being able to be ourselves without fear.

Anonymous chatrooms are life.
