Making Yourself Confident (USING PSYCHOLOGY)

INTRODUCTION

Confidence takes precedence when it comes to understanding what you are, what you were and what you are likely to become. Every decision, every reaction, every experience thereafter symbolises every confident move we have ever made. Many of our feelings like fear and anxiety are physical. Sometimes it's because we view them in this fashion that we fail to see the bigger picture and just face our problems head on. And psychologically speaking, this is hard! It's not easy for anyone to make a change. But that's exactly the issue. It's how you think, feel and act that makes all the difference when it comes to anything. Confidence too is a matter of how you think and feel physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually (believe me it tells!!)

So just be confident about being confident. It's not much but it's a start and if you keep working on yourself, you are very likely to overcome any obstacle in life. Keep hustling and follow these 5 steps!

1. Think and Act Positively

When there is a strong belief, there is a strong mind. When there is a strong mind, strong action is taken. When a strong decision is made, it reinforces the initially belief. The same holds true for having a mindset that works with the belief that whatever decision or action that ends with a belief that the outcome will be failure, will be met with disappointment. It reinforces negatively, and the effort taken to do something automatically reduces.

How do you get out of this loophole?

THINK POSITIVE.

Yup. It all starts in the mind. Quite silly when you think about it but that's all you need to do. Believe that your outcome will be good for a change. Shut that stupid negative side of you up! Over time, you'll find that your positive thinking will leave you feeling much better about yourself. And that will transmit into your actions as well! So take that first step and be positive!

Check out this video I make on [

](Positive affirmations). It's a useful technique to help you STAY POSITIVE by changing your inner speech!

2. Improve your Body Language

Sit up straight! Have your chest out! Look someone directly in the eyes while talking to them. Simple but oh so powerful! Remember how I said that feelings can be physical? You can feel more confident by simply changing how your body is positioned at any given time. Not only will this help improve your posture, but soon you'll find  yourself feeling and looking way more confident. Give this a try and you'll even appear very different to all the people in your life! Reading some books on improving body language will help too. We don't really get coached in body language. Which makes it all the more important for us to learn more about it.

3.  Act in the opposite way that you normally would

I used to hate doing some of the hardest exercises at the gym. This is because I knew I would have to put in more effort. This can really apply to any issue that you keep putting off. We know we have to put ourselves through something that we may not really enjoy. So what do you do? You look to find the easy way out instead of giving it the best in the gym, work or anything that is keeping you from being truly awesome at what you do.

Change this.

Do the exact opposite thing that you might expect yourself to do. If you're afraid of something. Go confront it. Face your fears. Power through the obstacle that is in front of you. It'll make you believe more in yourself and what you are capable of. Plain and simple. We are as big as our biggest fear. Don't let the fear grow. Confront it, overcome it. And that will take your self-esteem and confidence to a whole new level.

4. Release the 'Inner Tiger'

Are we animals? Do we see certain animals in certain ways? Like a peacock for how graceful and beautiful it is. Or a rabbit for how cute or frail it looks.

The same way, When we picture a tiger, the beast of the jungle. We picture a dominant (not necessarily controlling) individual that is very confident and determined to fight the dangers of the jungle. It has to be brave to survive. And this is what you need to be too.

BE BRAVE.

Release your 'inner tiger'. Being confident is about being brave. Standing up for something you believe in or protecting someone you care about calls for confidence that things will work out.And even if they don't, I'll try and do it again or grow from it. By awakening that part of you which is required display your courage, of anything that may come your way, the inner tiger will be able to fend off any challenge. It will display it's true potential and power to overcome any hurdle. It will be your new source of strength.

5. The Mind over matter habit

"I won't be able to do it". "It won't work out. " I give up"

Are these the things you like saying to yourself? Is this what you really think?

That new confident you doesn't seem to agree! Mind over matter. It's all in the head. You think those things because those are the things that you repeat to yourself. And now it's become a habit. A bad one. It affects how confidently you can function. It has to be mind over matter. If you decide to be confident, it has to be a commitment to be confident. And you have to practice it everyday. Try and be confident at everything you do and what you will do. Believe it will work out. To inculcate a habit of believing is a step closer towards becoming confident.

Nobody WAKES UP CONFIDENT(other than confident people). Wake up to the process of becoming confident each day. It takes a little bit of time and effort but the results are always well worth it. Seek and be confident in yourself and your abilities and grow daily. Your mind will transform.
