But this selfishness have made the society to grow (foundation of capitalism) to this extent. I don't have problem with aristocracy but have problem with too much government intervention to make the level playing field more skewed. In your case (in one of other article of yours, I have commented a link also) if you save the children , can you provide better life for them (if yes , for how many?) ? off course not. Solution is to make their parents more financially able such that they can send those children to good schools. Problem you will find in this argument is you can not raise wages beyond a limit otherwise employers will suffer and they can fire them. Solution to this argument is make (as well as people also have to think) more skilled in various fields by teaching and learning new resource (capital as well as skills) utilisation.People save kids from various areas and got famous but what's life after that, no one tells that story. There are whole slum areas in outskirt of every city in India , why don't those same people go there and teach them? I am not against these peoples but I am against the policies and structure of thinking of society and government.
