Conhecendo o centro de Floripa | Discovering Florianópolis downtown

Oi pessoal, tudo bom? Essa semana tive que ir ao centro de Floripa comprar um lençol aqui para casa e aproveitei para tirar algumas fotos de lá para vocês conhecerem um pouquinho do lugar e de quatro pontos turísticos da região.

Para falar a verdade, eu acho este um ponto muito fraco da ilha: o centro! Nunca gostei muito de lá e acredito que por ser uma cidade muito convidativa e cheia de turistas, poderiam investir mais no centro e torná-lo mais seguro e bonito, com muitos restaurantes e melhor urbanizado.

Vamos aos pontos turísticos do centro:

Um lugar que eu acho muito lindo é a Catedral Metropolitana. Tem uma arquitetura simples e antiga que chama bastante a atenção.

A praça 15 é um dos símbolos da ilha e nela está a Figueira Centenária - uma árvore que nasceu por volta de 1870 e foi replantada nesta praça. É também um dos pontos turísticos da ilha devido a grande espessura do seu tronco e seus imensos galhos que são segurados por ferros.

O Mercado Público é outro grande ícone da região - lugar onde vendem, principalmente, frutos do mar. Falando nisso, existem duas espécies de peixes muito comuns por aqui: a Tainha e a Anchova. Quem visita a ilha não pode deixar de experimentar, é simplesmente uma delícia! =D

Casa da Alfândega é outro ícone de Florianópolis e hoje o espaço é utilizado para venda de artesanato local.

Hi guys, how are you doing? This week I had to go downtown buying a new sheet to my mattress and I've enjoyed this moment to take some pictures from there for you to know a little bit of the place and four sites of the region.

To be honest, I believe that it's a weak point of the island: the city center! I've never liked the center a lot and I think for being a very inviting and touristy city, people could invest in the center and make it more safe and beautiful, with a lot of restaurants and better urbanized.

Let's go sightseeing

A place that I find very beautiful is the Cathedral downtown. It has a simple and old architecture which catches attention.

The 'Praça 15' is one of the symbols of the island and there is the 'Figueira Centenária' - a big tree which was born around 1870 and was replanted in this square. It is also one of the most important touristic points of the island because it has a big trunk and huge branches which are held by irons.

The 'Mercado Público' is another icon of the region - a place where especially seafood is sold. Speaking of that, there are two very common fish species here: the 'Tainha' and the 'Anchova'. Who visits the island shouldn't miss tasting those, they're just delicious! =D

The 'Casa da Alfândega' is another site of Floripa and this place is currently used to sell local handcraft.
