Se você acha que isso não passa de ficção científica, saiba que a empresa Boring Company, fundada pelo bilionário Elon Musk, já está cavando os túneis em Los Angeles com esse propósito, que irá ligar o centro da cidade ao aeroporto. Esse trajeto de carro hoje leva em torno de 40 minutos, e a estimativa é que quando o túnel estiver concluído caia para apenas 8 minutos. Isso porque esse "trem do vácuo" vai viajar a uma velocidade projetada de "apenas" 240 km/h.
Por enquanto as obras ainda não têm previsão de quando irão acabar. Espero que seja o quanto antes para a alegria dos moradores de Los Angeles. E quem sabe posteriormente, para os moradores de várias cidades ao redor do mundo. Que venha o futuro!
