Pode parecer radical dizer isso, mas é a pura realidade. Qual sentido existe em usar o Facebook ou qualquer outra rede social, se você pode usar o Steemit e ainda ser recompensado pelo seu conteúdo?
A maioria das pessoas se bem informadas a respeito disso, certamente irão concordar que não faz mais sentido, porém a maioria ainda continua usando por falta de informação.
Vivemos na era da informação, onde se manter atualizado e bem informado vale dinheiro. O Steemit é apenas uma prova disso. Quantas pessoas poderiam estar aqui produzindo conteúdo de qualidade e ganhando uma recompensa nada desprezível, mas estão perdendo a bonança pelo simples fato de a informação não ter chegado ainda até elas.
E a todos nós pioneiros, privilegiados e bem informados, também temos que fazer a nossa missão de tentar informar as pessoas ao nosso redor, pra que essa revolução chamada Steemit se concretize e domine o Brasil tanto quanto ocorreu com Orkut, Facebook, etc.
O brasileiro é um povo que gosta de se relacionar interpessoalmente, fazer amizades. É um povo expansivo e comunicativo que gosta de interagir. E isso foi confirmado com a chegada das redes sociais na internet, onde os brasileiros “invadiram” o antigo Orkut, depois o Facebook, Twitter, e por aí vai.
E porque não poderia acontecer o mesmo com o Steemit? Principalmente num país onde carece de bons empregos, e ainda por cima aqui as recompensas são em dólares e a nossa moeda real anda tão desvalorizada, tornando as recompensas ainda mais atrativas?
Então caros amigos, só consigo vislumbrar uma justificativa para o Steemit não ter sido ainda tomado pelos brasileiros: a simples falta de informação. E se for essa mesma a única razão, então temos uma missão: divulgar o Steemit Brasil afora, e todos nós ganharemos com isso.

@discernente Eu acredito e talvez deveríamos fazer uma contabilização nesse sentido, mas vejo que o número de brasileiros tem aumentado. Claro que como você, também não vislumbro um firme motivo para não termos mais brasileiros por aqui, mas não paramos de crescer e vejo que em breve seremos muitos.
Você fala de redes sociais de um modelo geral, mas pense no instagram, já parou analisar o volume de contribuições que as pessoas dão a essa rede?! É absurdo!

Talvez a principal barreira ainda seja a lingua, já que o site steemit é em inglês...
Acredito que podemos ter com a técnologia fornecida pelo steem uma forma mais especifica de rede social, uma rede para cada nicho e tipo de pesssoa ou assunto... isso acho que pode ser a grande mágica do steem que... criar redes sociais de forma fácil e descentralizada ;)

Na minha visão Facebook e o Steemit tem objetivos diferentes, o Facebook funciona muito mais para interação social do que pra divulgação de ideias e novidades, que é o alvo do Steemit, e não acho que o Steemit se tornaria em algum momento algo parecido com o Facebook. Mas eu concordo na falta de conhecimento das pessoas sobre o Steemit, e acredito que cabe a nós usuários divulgar sobre a plataforma em outras redes sociais.
