Parece que o mal agouro do Bitcoin, e por extensão de todas as criptomoedas em 2018 ainda não acabou.
O Bitcoin voltou a ter uma queda bastante expressiva hoje, tendo caído mais de 10% nas últimas 24 horas, e no momento está testando o suporte dos US$ 10,000. Se perder, irá facilmente testar o suporte dos US$ 9,000.

A razão pra essa queda de hoje parece dessa vez estar vindo da Índia. Por lá os bancos resolveram atacar as Exchanges de criptomoedas, depois que o Ministro das Finanças Arun Jaitley ter publicamente criticado o comércio de criptomoedas.
As Exchanges da Índia estão agora sob fogo cruzado, com vários bancos (State Bank of India (SB), Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank e Yes Bank) fechando ou limitando a atividade em contas vinculadas ao comércio de Bitcoin.
Por exemplo, a Koinex, uma popular Exchange de Mumbai, disse que os bancos indianos estavam bloqueando as operações, forçando a Koinex a suspender temporariamente negócios.
Parece que esse ano será lembrado como o ano em que os governos resolveram “mostrar as unhas”, e revelar toda a antipatia que têm com relação ao mercado das criptomoedas. O que antigamente ficava só nos alertas e ameaças, agora está se transformando em ações concretas no sentido de intimidar e até inviabilizar esse mercado.
E isso naturalmente tem um impacto nos preços. Acredito que, pela tendência que tenho observado, isso vai continuar a acontecer daqui pra frente com mais frequência, com outros governos ao redor do mundo agindo no sentido de bloquear o livre comércio do Bitcoin. Então estejamos preparados para um ano não tão bom quanto foi 2017, ou pelo menos com bastante turbulências ao longo do caminho.

acredito que Atomic Swaps são o futuro @dudutaulois, eles irão permitir a interoperabilidade entre diferentes cryptos, uma inter-comunicação entre diferentes Blockchains.
Quando essa tecnologia estive sendo amplamente utilizada, não haverá mais o problema de conversão/transferência de cryptos, significando pra nós usuários finais é que não teremos que lidar com conversões/transferências, já que essas coisas acontecem no background da aplicação.
De forma similar expernciamos isso hoje usado navegadores e a internet. Por trás tem o protocolo HTTP, mas não precisamos saber/ter contato com essa camada pra ser capaz de usar

Obrigado por compartilhar @discernente. Realmente, a resistência criado pelos bancos certamente vai influênciar o preço do BTC em 2018, mas inovações que ainda estão por vim podem elevar o mercado de Cryptos como um todo. Pode parecer contra-intuitivo, isso pode ser uma boa coisa boa, o valor do BTC já passou pelo seu último All-Time-High em dezembro do ano passado, seguido da correção por volta dos R$10-11 mill que estamos vendo agora.
Acredito que é uma ótima hora pra entrar no mercado e adquirir mais btcs, e assim como o Bitcoin já demonstrou antes, o preço pode subir direto pra R$23-25 mil, sendo uma oportunidade para os traders...
