A moda das redes sociais atreladas a algum tipo de recompensa aos seus usuários/colaboradores está começando a ganhar força.
Ontem Mark Zuckerberg, fundador e presidente do facebook, com uma fortuna estimada em 17 bilhões de dólares, anunciou que pretende estudar este ano as criptomoedas e outras tecnologias decentralizadas para aperfeiçoar a rede social que ele ajudou a fundar. Zuckerberg disse que as criptomoedas são “um dos assuntos mais interessantes da tecnologia no momento”.
“...criptografia e criptomoedas tomam o poder dos sistemas centralizados e põe ele de volta na mão das pessoas... Estou interessado em me aprofundar e estudar os aspectos positivos e negativos dessas tecnologias, e como melhor utiliza-las em nossos serviços” - Mark Zuckerberg
Diante disso a pergunta que não cala é: o que isso significa para o pioneiro Steemit? Será que essa concorrência ainda que tardia virá para prejudicar ou favorecer nossa comunidade?
Eu sou otimista. Acho que isso apenas irá trazer mais visibilidade às redes sociais com recompensas, e como somos pioneiros e relativamente consolidados nisso, a princípio no curto e médio prazo irá nos favorecer. Agora no longo prazo, vale a velha máxima: que vença o melhor.

Acredito que se o Zuckerberg implementar algum tipo de modelo blockchain, será um modelo centralizado, o que apresentará apenas mais uma jogada de marketing para o Facebook ganhar mais dinheiro... não que isso seja ruim (pra ele é ótimo), mas infelizmente não será da forma como idealizamos..
