Neste nosso primeiro video publicado através do @dtube, o refugiado do Congo (RDC) Lavi Israël Kasongo conta um pouco de sua história, já foi morador de rua e hoje trabalha como artista plástico na Stq Publicidade. Após receber o apoio do projeto Estou Refugiado, junto com colegas de seu emprego conseguiu lançar um site próprio: https://www.lavikasongo.com
Depois da experiência com Lavi a agência Stq, sediada em São Paulo/SP, planeja ajudar a ampliar as oportunidades para mais artistas refugiados. Recentemente, para comemorar o Dia do Imigrante e o aniversário do Museu da Imigração em 25 de junho, Lavi foi convidado para criar uma pintura ao vivo no jardim da instituição. Na programação - http://museudaimigracao.org.br/agenda/aniversario-do-museu-da-imigracao/ - a obra, retrato de suas memórias e experiências, ficará exposta no Museu e, posteriormente, será leiloada.

Gente, parabéns pelo projeto! Conheci há pouco tempo, e só ressalto como faltam projetos como esses por aqui, principalmente explorando a vida de quem às vezes mora tão perto da gente mas tem uma história de vida muito diferente.
Onde eu moro tem vários imigrantes senegalenses e haitianos, sempre penso em puxar assunto com eles, pois tenho certeza que eles têm histórias fantásticas pra contar como do Lavi.
