Continuando a série de Comemorativos Modernos Americanos, mostraremos hoje o 1996-D "Olympic Tennis" gradada pela PCGS MS70.

Todas as moedas pesam 26,73g com 90% de pureza de prata. Foram emitidas com acabamento Proof e Brilliant Uncirculated.

Elas serão apresentadas na ordem em que foram cunhadas.

Esta moeda foi emitida como parte de um projeto ambicioso de moedas comemorativas para as XXVI Olimpíadas de Verão realizadas em Atlanta, Georgia.

Seu obverso mostra uma tenista prestes a atingir a bola.

No reverso vemos um desenho usado em comum por todas as moedas comemorativas de 1996 relativas às Olimpíadas. Ele mostra uma Tocha Olímpica modernística.

Foram emitidas 15,983 moedas em Denver. O preço de lançamento foi de U$34,95 e o preço atual é cerca de U$360,00 neste grau.

    É verdade. Eu vou checar na minha coleção para ver se existe outra mulher retratada no esporte individual. Eu sei que eles emitiram uma moeda mostrando mulheres jogando futebol.
