O US Trade Dollar foi criado especialmente nos anos 1870 como uma "moeda universal" para facilitar o comércio internacional.

Esta moeda homenageia o Trade Dollar americano, em nome da lendária Companhia das Índias Orientais.

É um 2018 1 Libra emitida pela Royal Mint para Santa Helena. Pesa 1oz (31,1g) com 99,9% de pureza de prata e acabamento Brilliant Uncirculated. Foram emitidas 10.000 unidades.

O reverso mostra a clássica Seated Lady Liberty, sentada num trono de fardos. O desenho original foi de William Barber, Gravador Chefe da US Mint de 1869 até sua morte, em 1879.
