East Aceh Regent Hasballah M Thaib alias Rocky allegedly participated in enjoying some billions of rupiah from several agencies that are in legal process at the Idi District Court. "This information is so rapidly blowing with the enactment of six officials of East Aceh".
The blowing of the name of the number one person in East Aceh who allegedly took part in the allegedly corrupt money of some of these Dinas, was associated with his position as the Bupati of East Aceh.
According to some sources, the East Aceh Bupati Hasballah M Thaib as a decision maker having the authority, opportunities and facilities available to him, is potentially charged under the legal norms as mentioned in Article 2 paragraph 1 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 concerning Amendment to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption junto Article 55 paragraph 1 to-1.
Unless his subordinates (officials in East Aceh who have been designated as suspects) are brave pairs of bodies, the Regent Hasballah M Thaib can be 'survived' from the bondage of the law. But it seems very slim.
Executive Director of Aceh Human Foundation (AHF) Abd Hadi Abidin, Monday (12/3), said that East Aceh people have not dared to speak up.
