Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream. - Malcolm Muggeridge

If you don't fit in, then you're probably doing the right thing.

As on Earth so in the water. Paddling out when there is nobody in the line-up doesn't have to be a bad idea just because you're the first one in having it.

Doing what others do as a generic life concept hasn't ever been my style.

Let's discover unchartered waters!

Out-take of today's surf video πŸ“·: Iroquois @surfermarly

The world has enough pleasers!

There are few things that are more valuable than being in unchartered waters.

Following the masses might be the easy and comfortable way, but it's also the less inspiring. Only when you break out of the convenience and strike a completely untouched path, you're actually able to experience something new - and broaden your horizon.

Also if you always try to fit in, you'll never be able to develop your own view on the world. It'll always be the perspective and vision of someone else.

I'd never find pleasure in pretending.

My generic answer to people who ask me when I will ever calm down in my life, finally settle and do things that regular people do is the following: I smile.

What does regular even mean?

@surfermarly being the girl on the right - since 1981 :-)

My mom usually says: 'I love you regardless.' :-)

Lucky me, mom! Because I'm actually not considering to change a thing.

As long as I can remember I've never done anything just because I thought the majority of people would choose the very same path. The main criteria for my decisions has always been my own personal view and vision.

I'd always favor being a punk over being a pleaser!

My today's video is a love dedication to life, underlining diversity and personal freedom and telling everybody who believes in stereotypes and patterns:

You are wrong and they are right :-)

Enjoy 'Surf Punks' - 2 min Full HD Fun 🎧

Which one is your favourite part in the video?

Thanks for watching, Steem punks! :-)

No way you're from 1981. There is simply no way. No way. NO WAY.

Okay, now I have recovered from the shock - I love your Ariel move!

LOL - so why can't I be from the amazing 1981 again?!? :-)))
It's been a great year - haha!

Love this Ariel analogy! The longer the hair, the merrier :-P

Because I thought you were way younger! Crazyy!

Hahaha, yes! You planning to grow you hair out any soon? :P

Aaaaaaah, sweet! No, I'm extremely old already - hahaha! :-D

I'm always planning to grow it and then cut it down once it starts to reach a certain level - lol. Growing hair isn't my best discipline though :-P

Marly dear,

My favorite part of the vid is when my goofy-foot friend has been up on the wave long enough to realize just where she is, and then she smiles. ;)

Surf on, friend!

@creatr

@creatr my friend!
Today there were almost no waves, but look what a blast we had regardless.
Sometimes it's not about what the day offers but what you make of it :-)

Big hugs :-*

In this sense, the road less travelled is as close to my path as can be and fully makes sense to me. Glad to see another "punk" out there!

My favourite parts were all the ones where you are smiling, at the beginning, here and there, as well as the filming of the first underwater shoot, as you walk with the surf beside you, and when you catch the very first wave from standing up all the way to the surfing action! That brought back a lot of very good memories for me, thanks a bunch!

Namaste :)

What did you use to shoot? GoPro I assume?

I love it. The best blog/post I have read today.
My family thinks I and my husband are crazy, just because we want to move to exotic country and enjoy our lives and be free from all this rat race place called Canada. I mean I love Canada, it's a beautiful country, but we love the free lifestyle of El Salvador and everyone is calling us crazy. So I absolutely love your post and everything about it.
I love what you said "Also if you always try to fit in, you'll never be able to develop your own view on the world. It'll always be the perspective and vision of someone else."
Thank you for always giving me that inspiration.
My absolute best part of the awesome video is what you said at the end.
"What a shitty life"
I want that shitty life.

Life is about the simple things; a beautiful day, warm water, and wax in the right spots ;-)
My favorite shot is your board with the dirty wax, as it should be. I know you and your board are for real.
What's the water temp there this time of year. I notice you're not in a wet suit.

Amazing your,, my friends

Favourite part is you stretching:). Following the masses is where you are in comfort zone. Magic begins outside of that.

I liked the shots with your feet walking under the water and your red toes peeking through the sand, fun shot.

Also I liked how you added a little bit of a conversation with a fellow surfer. Without that we are not aware of anyone else in the water with you, it was fun to realize you are surfing with people.

And nailed the music! It was to perfect song, and really set the right mood to the video. The overall punk theme was great.

I can relate to going your own way as a driving force behind the things you do and choices you make :)

stunning shots i upvote and follow you!

Well always we are need to develop or continued our own dreams, or way independent of people say, when i star to study in the university one man told me are you kidding, you never finish your career you do not the capacibility to study it, because is hard, and i feel very sad for that but i said i study more hard for saying this man that i could finish and be a better student.
Until our days, when i see him i smile because his bad word for me give me the encouragement to study more hard.
You have reason we should discover another places that nobody try to discovered.
Best regard.

Wow what an elegance on the board! And the waves are yours, you ride them good !
