hydrogen-powered bicycle

The German company Linde Group has developed electric bike that can drive 65 kilometers on electricity, which is obtained from a hydrogen fuel cell.

Movement of the bicycle, called H2, can be provided by the pedals or by the electric motor. However, the battery which is usually installed on electric bicycles, developers replaced by a compact fuel cell. It generates power using hydrogen accumulated therein. The oxygen required for the fuel cell is taken from the atmosphere. The developers thought about emergency recharging bicycle - the fuel cell can be completed in less than 6 minutes.
Hydrogen for these bikes is producing by electrolysis of water. Energy for electrolysis will receive from wind or biogas plants.
Linde Group plans to produce H2 Bike as a limited series of prototypes.
