One of my first trips was on Fraser Island (Australia), located next to Rainbow Beach, a small town sunrounded by beaches and intense vegetation.
We took the ferry to cross the sea and arrived on this stunning island after around 30 min'.
We had rent 4 wheels car before because we weren't allowed to drive on the island with a normal car...
There is a big sandy road all along the east coast of the island. The speed limit didn't come over 80 because of high risks of crashes: the fresh water going out of the island, from the center, digged ditches and has caused many deathly accident on the island.
After having driven through the jungle we arrived at the Champaign pool: a natural pool created by mother nature. Many fishes have taken this place as home due to the calm of the water.
There are many lakes on Fraser, one my favorites is the lake McKenzy. I was amazed by the colour of this crystal clear water. Under the water and after having taken many pictures, we could have tought that the pictures were taken in a swimming pool.
There are so many places like these on Fraser, I'll post others on other posts soon.
But for sure, I suggest going there if it's on your way !
Let's enjoy step by step ! ;)
