Defining Purpose Is Misunderstood

It is easy to look at the world around you and think that everything you see is there for a reason. You feel you are in the position you're in financially and at your job because it simply is the way your life has taken you. You may feel like at times things are totally out of control, and others like you're in the drivers seat commanding the car of life to go wherever you command. The fact is, defining purpose of one's life bleeds off into everything experienced on a daily basis. The tendency to try to get ahold of your life and wrangle it, only to find that it's a far stronger bull than you anticipated is quite common in fact. Most of one's life is finding their niche, and then trying to bring the maximum amount of focus to that to amplify the results to achieve one's "true purpose".

However, along the way one very important thing is forgotten. Without being so bland as to say it's about the journey not the destination, it is important to bring attention to a little discussed point about the process of finding joy within the short span one has to live. Purpose is not actually an end result, but the usefulness of one's abilities to their environment during that given period of time. Purpose only truly manifests itself in the moment, not in hindsight as the moment one reflects on their "purpose", it tends to evaporate from actualization. Therefore, it is more likely that finding purpose is akin to "finding your niche". Purpose is something you must maintain, not find and not allow to rust. This shouldn't prevent one from trying at all times to achieve the most ideal conditions for their circumstances, but instead should empower them to seize the moment and to maximize their efforts in everything they do. The reward for doing this with passion and humility will be the natural gravitation of others who share similar interests and also care about bringing their dreams into fruition. The true win/win situation will arise when one finally stops seeing their purpose in life as a selfish endeavor, and starts seeing it for what it actually is; a shared experience on the deepest level of human interaction that is in its pure form timeless.
