[Puzzle|WordSearch]STEM Saturday #6 Promoted Post Word Search

in puzzles •  2 years ago  (edited)

In continuing recognition of STEM Saturday #6 on the Steem blockchain, here is another word search with 21 words from the post by @sarahjay1, Dogs may descend from two different populations of wolves. Words may be found in any of the following directions:

  • left to right
  • right to left
  • top to bottom
  • bottom to top

All words have five letters or more.

As before, no matter how many you find, please post just one word per person in the comments. You may also wish to report on how many you were able to find and how long it took.

As a reminder, some English words get included by chance when the word search is generated. If a word is not contained in the post, Dogs may descend from two different populations of wolves, then it's not a solution to the puzzle.

Enjoy!

Word search created with GNU licensed software from https://wordsearchcreator.org/.

I'll post the word list and locations next week. Puzzle name: PromotePromoterNo6.

A team of biologists from the Francis Crick Institute (FCI) came to this conclusion after analyzing the genomes of 66 ancient wolves

The results were compared with data on the GENOMES of:

Besides of the fact that I read every post I vote (unfortunately not always comment), this is one of the greatest ideas for motivating people to really read (what is the greatest rewards an ambitious author expects) ever! Guess I told you before… 😊

this is one of the greatest ideas for motivating people to really read (what is the greatest rewards an ambitious author expects)

Thanks! That's exactly the hope with the way I set it up. I'm glad that you picked up on it. Hopefully, it's driving a little extra traffic and attention to the source articles.

domestication

I found "diverged"

I found "origin"

I found "inherited".

Diverged

:P

I am going with 'wolves' as it is vertical on the right of the puzzle.

I usually go for the easier horizontal ones, but I am trying to work my brain a bit harder for the vertical ones now.

I found "migration" and 4 other words 🤗
Note: word was found in first line at the top right.

I found "sequence"

I found "...population

Here is the word list:
