** The pyramids of the Ahom kingdom looked somewhat similar to that of the Mayans. The Ahom kingdom was established in Assam, the region now in the north-eastern part of India around 12th century AD. The Ahoms are said to have migrated from Northern Burma (now Myanmar) according to some historians.**
