The Surreal Dialogue Between Blair and Gaddafi

Here's a snippet from a transcript of a conversation between Blair and Gaddafi. In light of what we now know was going on, I find the whole thing deeply disturbing.

Why does it bother me so when violence and lies are now the norm? It is the strangely cold tone Blair adopts when refusing to listen. Let me explain.

Libya was toppled by western backed rebels. Gaddafi's convoy was then bombed by Nato forces which allowed him to be killed in the most brutal manner you can imagine. It was a coup from start to finish and the western elites are wholly responsible.

Blair here is telling Gaddafi that Libya is under civil unrest and that he must leave. Gaddafi knows this isn't true. Despite Gaddafi's various answers, Blair sticks to his script, pretending to be concerned but clearly aware that destabilisation and war will be brought to Libya no matter what.

Reading the whole thing is like watching a psychopath beat a defenseless person to death with a stick, all the while saying 'just say the magic word and I'll stop'...

Interesting, indeed. I think we all know Gaddafi was set up, but it's nice to see some evidence. Thanks, Nik!
