Realme Note 50: The first Realme Note series smartphone released in Philippines

Note is a popular series named by different brands. We have seen the Samsung Galaxy Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note, Infinix Note and now Realme is joining the trend. But the difference is that Realme Note is coming at a modest price and specs while the others put higher-level devices in this series.

So what’s special about Realme? The Realme Note 50 was launched in the Philippines for just PHP 3,599 (Philippine peso) which is about BDT 7,000 in Bangladeshi Taka and $64 is US Dollars. That’s crazy cheap. This phone is very similar to Realme C51 in terms of design and the specs are also similar, but there are a few compromises. Realme C51 4/64 GB variant was initially priced at BDT 15,999 in Bangladesh (PHP 8,200 / $146) which is now being sold at a discounted price of BDT 12,999 (PHP 6,700 / $119). Considering the specs of Realme Note 50, it looks like Realme won’t sell it for less than BDT 11,000 (PHP 5,700 / $100). So, PHP 3,599 / BDT 7,000 / USD 64 is indeed a very low price.

So, we checked out other Realme phone prices in the Philippines to see if it’s just this Note 50 or Realme phone prices are cheaper in the Philippines than in Bangladesh. It turns out that the Realme phone prices are indeed cheaper over there. The C51 4/128 GB model is being sold at a discounted price of PHP 4,999 (BDT 9,800 / $89) as of today. So, we don’t see any reason for Bangladeshi consumers to be too excited about it. Frankly, also for consumers elsewhere. The way Realme bragged about it, it felt like it was going to be something very special. But the same Realme C51 design already made it look cheap and if the pricing isn’t very attractive, there is not much reason to look at it.
