Cryptocurrencies are digital assets that use cryptography, an encryption technique, for security. Cryptocurrencies are primarily used to buy and sell goods and services. People use cryptocurrencies for pseudonymity (near-anonymity), peer-to-peer purchasing (elimination of financial intermediaries), and some other “smart,” programmable capabilities. Examples are Bitcoins which is the very first cryptocurrency created, after which there was creation of several others regarded as alternative coins (Altcoin) in the likes of Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash e.t.c
Cryptocurrency Technology
Much of the cryptocurrencies’ popularity and security advantages are derived from its groundbreaking technological innovation.
The Blockchain technology underlies Bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies. It relies on a public, continuously updating ledger to record all transactions that take place. Blockchain is groundbreaking because it allows transactions to be processed without a central authority—such as a bank, the government, or a payments company. The buyer and seller interact directly with each other, removing the need for verification by a trusted third-party intermediary. It thus cuts out costly middlemen and allows businesses and services to be decentralized. Though blockchain technology was conceived as part of Bitcoin in 2009, there may be many other applications.
But the Bitcoin Blockchain or Ethereum Blockchain are both failing in times of transactions processing speed. Bitcoin is widely recognized as pioneering, it is not without limitations. For example, it can only process seven transactions a second. The time it takes to confirm transactions has also risen. Not only is Bitcoin slower than some of its alternatives, but its functionality is also limited.
Early 2018 January to he precise bitcoin blockchain was congested and thus led to the increment of confirmation time and fee.. The cost of transactions went as high as $50 just to send bitcoin worth $20. Same time have we experienced the clogging of the Ethereum network.
Are still worried this such a situation will happen again? Are you concerned how much transaction will cost in the future just to make simple transfer of funds?
If your answer is YES..Well I am here to introduce to you a truly unique digital platform with an advanced and better blockchain technology. The name of this digital platform is QUARKCHAIN
WHAT IS QUARKCHAIN?
Quarkchain is a new permissionless blockchain architecture that aims to meet Global commercial standard, which can handle/process a far larger amount of transactions per second. Over taking the TPS (Transaction Per Second) of Bitcoin, ethereum and even visa. A blockchain capable of handling 100000TPS and Visa 65000TPS.
QuarkChain is one of the new blockchains “on the block” that aims to create a highly scalable and secure blockchain that can handle up to one million transactions per second using a two-layered blockchain system.Scalability has been integrated into the design of QuarkChain from the get-go and with this in mind they’ve set out to build a platform capable of supporting industries ranging from FinTech to gaming and social media.
The blockchain trilemma looks like this:
What exactly is QuarkChain trying to conquer what problem lies ahead. The real challenge therefore is figuring out how a blockchain can ACHIEVE ALL THREE:
1.Decentralization
2.Scalability
3.Security
The Solution QuarkChain Proposes
- Multi-blockchains → They may suffer from vulnerability issues, double-spending attacks, reverse transactions or strategic mining attacks.
- Lightning network→ BTC´s option to this problem seems to be inefficient. User’s transaction targets are random and happen sporadically.
- Sharding→ Omniledger´s solution to the problem, with the intricate consensus protocol. It may be limited by cross-shards transactions and single shard take overs.
QuarkChain aims to fulfill the ultimate goal of any blockchain: Extending scalability far beyond current tech limits, while maintaining the balance for both security and decentralization.
The Unique Technology behind QuarkChain
Two-layered blockchains
The QuarkChain consists of two layers of blockchains. They apply elastic sharding blockchains (shards) as the first layer, and a root blockchain that confirms the blocks from the shards as the second layer.
Cross-shard transactions
Cross-shard transactions can be issued at any time, and confirmed in minutes. The throughput of cross-shard transactions increases linearly as the number of shards increases.
Market driven collaborative mining
They designed a game theoretic framework for incentives, where hash powers are incentivized to distribute evenly among shards. There are at least 50% of overall hash power allocated to the root chain to prevent double spending attack.
Simple account management
There is only one account needed for all shards. All cryptocurrencies from different shards are stored in one smart wallet.
Horizontal scalability
Because a super-full node can be extremely expensive when TPS goes high, they allow multiple honest nodes forming a cluster running as a super-full node.
TOKEN DETAILS/ TOKEN SALE
