Excellent question. In the search of a way to save our planet, man has begun to turn to renewable energy. The need for renewable energy grows daily and from every country is racing to be the first and best to establish themselves as the founding fathers of it. But amongst all the countries in the world, China stands out the most when it comes to renewable energy.
The electrification of China's transportation system is slowing down their need for fossil fuels and as such their need to import said fossil fuels. the Asian giants are well on their way to becoming wholly dependent on renewable energy entirely and soon they won't need gas for anything whatsoever. Within the next ten years, China expects to have significant growth in their utilisation of solar and wind power.
According to the IEA, from 2018 to 2023, China will account for over 40% of global renewable energy capacity expansion . It is estimated that by 2035, China will depend on renewable energy for over 20% of its energy production and will need coal energy for less than 50%. All this is because both the people and the government are dedicated to accomplishing this feat.
So China is the future of renewable energy and sustainable transportation.
