Where Is The Line?

in question •  6 years ago

This is really just a question regarding whether or not blockchain/crypto related social media, forums, sites and so on should allow people to say whatever they like, in the spirit of everything being 'open' etc.

I ask, as I have noticed a somewhat prominent hate speaker on here, happily doing his thing despite being banned from facebook and twitter and so on due to his promotion of hate and bullying of anyone who disagrees with him. Literally going to their houses at 3am with a group of goons to livestream himself 'confronting' them..... You know, like a big man does.....

That aside, last year I tried using OpenBazaar as a new crypto based sales avenue. However, I found it was openly selling guns, swords, cocaine, mdma, weed, knives, ecstasy and more, to literally anyone. I asked them on Twitter if they think that that is really the way to be going and was basically told that they don't care about what is sold on their platform and anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly just wanting the crypto world to be restricted blah blah blah.

So, basically, where is the line? How far does 'too far' go?
