Why mosquito bites??

To be clear male mosquitoes don't bite they feed on nectar and sap from trees. It's the females that bite. Now the reason is that when they bite, they draw blood and the human blood contains iron and protien. These components in the blood helps in the the formation of the eggs in the female mosquito.

Hence their reason for biting.
