If I Move I Bleed

Since I didn’t get stitches but the cut is super deep the only way I can keep the blood in is with elevation.

I have been using a bean bag to elevate my foot above my head for a couple days. I just lay in bed in moving healing the wound.

I tried to hop to the bathroom only 10 feet away. By the time I got back my foot was throbbing and bleeding.

Wasn’t bleeding to badly but I could literally feel the blood veins trying to close getting rippped open with blood pressure!

Gross! Every time I think about it I cringe.

So just have to face it and not move for a couple days. Let my body heal as fast as possible.

I have kept the infection at bay with colloidial silver. I never go anywhere without it. Have healed many a problem. https://www.intothegardenofeden.com/colloidal-silver-1

It may take a while but as long as it doesn’t get infected and I don’t move it will heal.

Few more days & I will be able to hop around.

Why no stitches? I'm guessing you had it assessed? I lost a tendon in my toe to such a cut.
But yeah, looks like it still needs some direct pressure over the wound. And something to help hold the cut together might help it coming apart from small movements.
I have only the most basic of first aid knowledge, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

No stitches cause I don’t have the stuff and do t use doctors.
I have a bit of experience. Will handle it.

Best wishes for speedy healing.

I'm not a fan doctors in general but I would have had that wound stitched.

I once cut the top off my finger right down to the bone and took a bit of fingernail with it in the process (alcohol and sharp knives are a deadly combo) I went to the hospital and waited there for 6 hours and was told I'd have to wait at least another 3 hours. So I went home and treated it myself.

I used Pelargonium (many people call them Geraniums)leaves as a non stick dressing and it healed up super quick and never got infected. The Pelargonium leaves are covered in tiny & very soft hair like structures and they never stick to a wound. They release geranium oil as your body heat warms them up and geranium oil has anti microbial properties so it helps with the healing. I just rinse them and put a paper towel on the side that's not touching the wound (folded to a suitable shape) and then tape it all to the wound.

After 6 hours or so you just redo it with a fresh leaf. I use them on all my wounds for myself and my family. If the kids get a cut they ask if they can have a leaf to put on it. Everyone I've shared the tip with has been amazed at how fast the wounds heal. As far as I'm concerned the pelargonium leaves are better than anything modern medicine has to offer as far as non stick wound dressings go.

Awesome!

I agree and I have questions. One, can you find a geranimum in Panama? Two, could the leaves be stored somehow for use in a first aid kit?

Great questions!

I like this too. Good info.

Ouch! I hope it feels better soon!

Me too!

Gross

Take a hot piece of coal, and burn it.

Hot metal is better

Cool thanks for the tip. Ive had to do it on my hand and foot once upon a time. Thats a nasty gash.

Hello...
@quinneaker
Awesome your using
Colloidial silver. That is my number one go to...!!!!!
I also keep tea tree oil and Epsom salt on hand at all times.
Do you have and crutches you can use or borrow to avoid walking on it..?
Please continue to take the best care of it. It sounds like your keeping your eye on for infection.
Years ago I stepped on a broken bottle in a river. Sucks..
My best to you ..

Ya colloidial silver is the best. Don’t go anywhere without it. Been selling it for a while as it’s a true life saver without a doctor.

It sure is a life saver....! I am 100% on board with that..!!!!!!
(:

Nasty! I feel for you. Can I recommend Calendula, it's wonderful for wounds like that as are Yarrow and shepherd's purse (depending on the type of blood) but definitely lots of bathing with and drinking of calendula5
