I like to check out Coinmarketcap from time to tome to see which new coin made the top 100. There are a few things that would catch my eye, such as the jump in price or the name. As Shakespeare's Romeo once asked "what's in the name?" I would say nothing much but a cool name does pique my interest. Thus, naturally when a token by the name of QASH had one of its nice price spike, I was intrigued. For one, naming your token cash (with a Q) just seem so....rad. So, I typed in QASH on Google and found out about the company behind it and there are some cool things about them. As such, here are a few things that caught my eye.
Quoine
Quoine is the company behind QASH and if you wondered what Quoine means, I don't have a definitive answer for that but a quick Google search shows that it means an external solid angle of a wall. It does not represent the projects that Quoine is doing. However, one thing is for sure, Quoine has some solid projects going on. Further investigation pointed to the fact that Quoine is actually pronounced as 'coin'. So basically if you have coins (Quoine) and cash (QASH), you are good. See what I just did there? Anyway, let us get back to business.
Quoine is a Fintech company specializing in Finance. It is a leading Fintech company that deals specifically in trading and exchange services on the Blockchain. Quoine has offices throughout Asia, including Japan, Singapore and Vietnam. In other words, you can be assured that the company behind QASH actually exist and is audited. You can also be assured that they are not based in a basement somewhere in some remote lawless country.
So what's so great about Quoine? Well, Quoine is a company with over 15 million dollars in annual revenue. It is a licensed cryptocurrency exchange in Japan. In fact, Quoine is the first regulated cryptocurrency exchange to obtain a license by the Japanese Financial Services Agency. This means that it has access to customers throughout Japan legally and with the license, this could help Quoine gain legitimacy in other countries as well. To facilitate this, under Quoine is a project called Liquid which in simple terms is an exchange.
The Liquid exchange allows customers to exchange not just cryptocurrency but fiat currencies as well. These local currencies even include the Singapore and Australian dollar. Quoine states that it will provide these facilities to all G3 nations . In addition, they seek to do so through the approval of each country's regulators. This is a great feature because customers would not have to painstakingly exchange their fiat somewhere else before trading on Liquid. Furthermore, since Quoine is regulated, you can be sure that they are less likely to run away with your money. Quoine's Liquid exchange has been doing extremely well in the last twelve months. The trading volume of Liquid exchange has exceeded 50 billion dollars. That is pretty huge and all this would in the long run affect the price of QASH.
QASH
If Liquid is going to be the exchange that you frequent, then you will want to get your hands on some QASH (and cash as well). Quoine states that QASH allows you full access to all the services on Liquid including other benefits and discounts. In other words, if you hold QASH and trade on Liquid, you'll be given the full VIP treatment. Not only can you use QASH to pay for your transaction fees, you will also periodically receive VIP access to newly launched products. Seeing that Quoine aims to hold token and ICO sales via Liquid, holding the QASH token will help you get in first before the tokens allocated for the ICO is completely sold out.
In addition, QASH holders will also get access to trading tools and automated trading strategies. This is not too bad seeing that certain automated trading strategies require a separate payment by the exchange. In addition, you will also be allowed to get Crypto or Fiat loans as well. All these are mentioned in QASH's whitepaper and with all the benefits of QASH, it actually incentivises traders and investors especially in the Asian region where Quoine has offices, to hold QASH. I don't know about you, but if you tell me that HODLing some tokens is going to get me some cool benefits, I'm definitely holding on to it through the bull or bear market. This is the case for Kucoin shares where holding it actually gets you a portion of the different cryptocurrencies being traded on the platform. In other words, holding it gets you free coins. As such, I think what QASH is doing is a smart move to get people interested and holding on to the tokens, thus preserving its value no matter how bad the market goes.
Conclusion
At this point of time, Quoine has been fulfilling its targets set forth in its roadmap. This year, Quoine has managed to launch Liquid which was briefly touched on in the points above. In addition, Quoine's ICO platform has also hosted the private sale of a few different projects. These projects include Fanchain, Mfun, Cosplay and Bryllite. Bryllite in this case managed to sell over 5 million of its tokens. Aside from that, Quoine's CEO Mike Kayamori was also featured on CNBC. Mike Kayamori also spoke at the recent World Economic Summit.
There are a host of other things that Quoine has done this year. What this indicates is a company that is active in ensuring its platform gains hype and attention. This is especially important because if Quoine can grow its userbase on Liquid, the demand for QASH will increase. This would eventually increase the price of QASH in the long run.

I understand. But I can’t handle Discord :-) How about telegram? If you get a chance, look for me there. I can only take time in discussion—not in any fast pace medium.
