The Bible teaches us many about the wise, and in particular the sapiential books, and about the subject the Book of Proverbs gives us a wise quote: "The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the hearts of fools are not upright" Proverbs 15:7.
The true knowledge comes from the wise, the Bible tells us, and this knowledge is the most perfect and elevated science, the science of wisdom, the knowledge of the correct means to live. But this knowledge has many ways, because with wisdom there is intuition, inspiration, and creativity, but there is also the ability to perceive the future, and read thoughts with the mind. The mysteries of the creation and from above are in the heart of the wise.
This is why the Bible tells us so many facts where the wise have solved very difficult cases. From King Solomon (1 Kings 3:16-28) and the prophet Daniel (Daniel 13:1-64) who have resolved cases of justice through the sacred listening (perceive with attention, meditate, decide with discernment), to Joseph (Genesis 41:1-36) who guessed and interpreted Pharaoh's dreams properly. All the great kings of antiquity, if they were not wise, knew how to have wise men nearby, to seek their advice; and we have a close example in history when Philip of Macedonia, to educate his son Alexander, sought out Aristotle to be his mentor, although in this case, Aristotle was more a philosopher than a sage.
But there is also something very important, in the wise there is no falsehood, as things are said they are in that way, what is heard is not understood backward, that is why the book wisdom tells us:
"Because into a soul that plots evil wisdom does not enter,
nor does she dwell in a body under debt of sin.
For the holy spirit of discipline flees deceit
and withdraws from senseless counsels
and is rebuked when unrighteousness occurs" Wisdom 1:4-5.
