C.S. Lewis is a hero of mine and this quote was something I found online and thought I'd share.

I pray most days what he expresses here, that I might be, more and more each day, what He wants me to be.

Sometimes I would like to know more specifically what he wants me to be. If he's trying to make me into something, it seems like it would help to tell me so I can help work in that direction. I'm just saying. It's been a lot of years, but still at it. I guess I'll know that I reached the destination when I'm not here anymore.

So true. I often think like that, or I ask why dont you just... Or if you only...

Then Id be free to help you better, or be a better husband or dad, but I think daiky struggling with my failure is in part what he wants. Not because struggling is preferrable but because nothing humbles us like struggling.

So he lets us try to find our way, stumble about and fail, and yet in every move and every failure, He is accomplishing his will through us. If you ever doubt that look at Adam and Eve, they ate the fruit, against His will and despite His wishes but He worked even that for our good abd His glory, like Romans 8 says. So as long as you are trying, and at worst trying to try, he will work through you. You will make mistakes but he is working and using you and me.

I often think like that, or I ask why dont you just... Or if you only...

I've been there many times. It hasn't ever ended up being productive. Ha ha.

So as long as you are trying, and at worst trying to try, he will work through you.

At least the bar can be set really, really low. I need that a lot of days. :/

Thanks for the encouragement.

Wise words, and that beautiful memory of Lewis always with his real phrases full of wisdom. Amen

Its kinda scary submitting yourself to be what God wants for you, how might He use us? Will we be safe?

Maybe not, but He is good and we can trust in that.

Thanks for your comment, as always.

I saw it a while ago, I gave it a like it was really fantastic.

Thanks brother.
