    Yes @mmabits ,for instance before I knew anything about Photoshop I could see how difficult it can be to learn it on my own,but I didn't shy away.

      They discount the difficulty. They don't see the difficulty as so difficult as it really is. Pessimists do. That doesn't mean they "shy away" from it. You'd call such a person a coward.
