Epictet

Epictet was an ancient philosopher. He came as a slave to Rome, where he began to teach the Stoic teachings. When he was expelled from Paus Rome, he founded a school of philosophers in Necropolis.
All the traditional writings of his teachings are records of his pupil Arrian. Epictet himself did not write any works.
In his teachings, he mainly dealt with the practical implementation of philosophical considerations. For him, inner freedom and moral autonomy were the centre of ethics.

In seinen Lehren behandelte er vor allem die praktische Umsetzung philosophischer Überlegungen. Die innere Freiheit und moralische Autonomie waren für ihn das Zentrum der Ethik.
