I know there's lots of talk about quality posts and all, a lot of it from me, but sometimes you hear something that you just have to share. Somewhere like Facebook I wouldn't think twice about taking a minute to post this. Many want to make SteemIt more like Facebook, and in a way I agree, but if we do you have to allow for some small quick posts with no real purpose other than to share something you might have heard.
Anyway, I saw Ice T on Jimmy Fallon tonight and he shared his own quote that I loved. They were talking about how Law & Order: SVU was in its 19th season. Fallon asked him if he ever thought he'd be acting on television and now on a show for going on 20 years. Ice T responded with a quote he uses often that expresses you just never know what can happen, "You don't guide life, you ride it."
A great piece of advice in my opinion.

I like it, and it also fits with your steemit name of random wanderings if you think about it!

Yes, it certainly does fit right in. Last night when he said it I had never heard it before and thought what a great outlook on life it was.

That's an awesome quote, and a good point you make. Nice reminder that a short post can be worthwhile sometimes. I especially like this because it makes me think, and I've always thought of life as an ocean. Hang onto your surfboard! :)

Exactly, you just have to roll with the tide and see where it takes you, and of course enjoy the ride.
