As we prepare to commemorate this year's World Day to Combat Desertificcation on Sunday June 17 - 2018, we encourage you to take some minutes and reflect about the following questions;
- How are you contributing to desertification?
- How are you investing in Land?
- What are you doing to fight desertification?
This year's World Day to Combat Desertification urges you to move away from unsustainable land use and make a difference by investing in the future of land. It raises awareness on the fact that our production, consumption, living and traveling styles have a tremendous impact on land resources.

#TheGreens in partnership with the Regional Delegation of Environment, Protection Nature and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED), MIDENO, @kedjom-keku, OIPA, CEPOW, NEPROF, Better World Cameroon, SURUDEV and other civil society organizations of the North West Region of Cameroon will be commemorating the #2018WDCD as follows:
- Saturday 16th June 2018: Radio Talks about the #2018WDCD
- Sunday 17th June 2018: Round Table Discussion and massive social media advocacy campaign
- Monday 18th June 2018: Water Catchment Protection Training for Mwasu Water Management Committee, Community Tree Nusery Design, Construction and Management, Tree Planting and Water Catchnment Protection of 03 Water Catchments in Mwasu Quarter in Mile 8 Mankon and a #Football4Nature Game.
