Achievers Wisdom #048: You Are Not A Failure Until You Give UP

Success is known to be an outstanding performance, achieving a desired result, a rewarding and fruitful effort etc. Failure is regarded as the opposite of success, a poor performance, fruitless effort or no result etc. But the two have something in common, they don’t happen overnight or a single day. They both happen as a result of repeated effort or an event with or without result for a noticeable period of times. Then, are you a failure?

“Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough” says Og Mandino. We personally subject ourselves to each of the party (failure or success). A determined mind even though is yet see it come true subjected to success. Colin Powell believes “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence”. We are all stubborn one way or the other. What makes the difference is on what.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, the great British politician, army officer, and writer, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. knows better when he says “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”. That is where being a failure started. Losing the courage to continue the struggle is the beginning of failure. Before you logout hear what Thomas Edison has to say on this, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work”. Believe me, you are not a failure if you are still determined to give your best to see your dream come through.
