Standing out is a good thing!
If everything in this world was exactly the same, things would get real stale and real quick. The most beautiful thing is that it is not all the same. Even though there are loads of different people and differing perspectives, oftentimes people get bunched into groups and the collective groupthink overpowers the individuals within the group.
At that point, voices are not heard or represented in any meaningful way. This is a problem.
We all need to strive to be different in a way, not to be exactly like, think like, mimic, and do what everyone else is doing. We are all individuals with a unique path to travel along. Embark on that journey daily, think for yourself, make an effort to stand out from the noise, and be a voice worth listening to. It’s OK to be different, and it’s OK if others are too. We are all in this thing together, and we can all work together and make it a wonderful world.
