The bigger the State gets, the smaller the individual gets
Sometimes there are quotes that say so much without saying many words at all.
I stumbled up on this one this morning that does exactly that:

The more the State does for you, the less you do for yourself.
While that may sound good to some, it most definitely is not good in the long run.
People need to govern themselves and their own lives in order to be the happiest long term.
If you become an enemy of the state for any reason, look out.
