Willpower, the ability to use your motivation, comes and goes. We have moments of feeling lazy and procrastinate and other times we are determined -POOF! Just like that.
This willpower allows us to delay instant gratification for longer term rewards which is a huge indicator of future success.
This willpower is not so easily on call, it has a limited battery life but can be recharged with some downtime. We assumed that the supply is endless and therefore we don’t manage it, like we would with food or sleep.
A real challenge we have is when our willpower is low.
Successful people strongly suggest avoid making big decisions, usually later on in the day, when will power is low.
You make what matters most a priority when your willpower is highest, this is early in the day before your will power is drawn. Drawn to other things such as distractions and temptations to do other things.
