Mother's Day

Another cold rainy day which meant another boring session on the treadmill. If it wasn't for my book to listen to I'd never make it the full 10K steps. Walking and hiking outside is so much better.
I took Mom out for lunch for Mother's Day. We went to her favorite Chinese restaurant about 30 miles away. Here she is finishing up the meal with some mint chocolate ice cream. On the way home we stopped and did some shopping so I got in a little more walking.

Ulog 11 - Pi Pizzeria - A Tasteem Review "Pasta vs Pizza"

My niece and her boyfriend came by on Saturday and invited us to go with them to a pizzeria in St. Louis called Pi. I usually don't travel 140 miles round trip just to eat pizza, but hey, it was Saturday night and nothing was happening, so why not?
I'm very glad we did because we had the most unusual and delicious pizza I've ever had. But first things first, - the building and the ambiance were very upscale and trendy. It was located in downtown St. Louis in a very accessible location

Summer Cold Returns

I might have overdid it a tad today. I tried to get a cold last week and fought it off with my homemade chicken noodle soup. Since then it's been cold and rainy and today my cold decided to make a reappearance. We went to the Y this morning and did the treadmill for an automatic win. Then we walked again in the park this afternoon. After I got through with that I went to the store and got more ingredients for another batch of chicken noodle soup

The Shining Qurite Wall of Fame

Since we will be featuring a Shining Qurite each week we are going to start the Shining Qurite Wall where all the featured members will be placed.
