Improving delegator returns

Hi everybody, Qustodian here.

Delegation - increase in returns

I have spent the last few days improving returns to delegators by boosting the VP to give a higher overall return on SP given. And I am going a bit further to help improve returns.

Currently all SBD payouts received to provide upvotes are split by delegators (by %). The bot itself has 300 SP which also attracts a payout to Q2D2, it is currently 2.5% of all SBD received for upvotes. It is small so it does not impact too heavily on payouts as of yet, but some of this 2.5% payout will now be distributed to delegators to help boost returns.

It will be distributed,

  • 20% to the developer Boontjie
  • 30% to the Q2D2 for Qustodian competitions
  • 50% to the delegators

  • Developer distribution

The 20% is pay for the ongoing maintenance and adding features as most of the money is currently going back into the bot to buy delegations. It will effectively boost @boontjie delegation from 3000 SP to 3060SP, which is not that much but it does keep my interests aligned to the bot. Everyone likes to see their income grow.

    Qustodian competitions

I will announce the start competition on Qustodian, but the plan is that every day a delegator is going get that 30% added to his daily payout pool as an additional payout.

The minimum amount of SP that will be required for that a chance to draw is 50 SP. In future as the pot becomes bigger I may run more competitions, with each funded from the 30%.

Until I run the competition the funds will go to Q2D2.

50% bot SP funds to delegators

I will add the code to make this payout possible soon. As the SP of the bot grows, the ROI of delegators will grow with it.
This will have a loyalty bonus, i.e. the longer you delegate the more you will receive. I will release details of this on another post.

    Bot SP ROI calcs

If your current delegation nets you 30% on average from Qustodian, then this will improve your return to 30.75%. This is not a return of earthshattering proportions, but look at future growth:

    5% of payouts BOT SP = 31.5%
    10% of payouts BOT SP = 33%
    20% of payouts BOT SP = 36%

As the SP grows so does your ROI for the same investment. As time goes on you get more.

Well there you have it, some changes for the future! Hope it is well received!

More money to delegators? @qustodian you hit it out of the park again! Great job and thanks for the update.

Good to hear update @qustodian incentive to keep delegation in mind.

I hope this is clear. It means there will be additional payments made on top of the delegations payouts.

I.e. if you had received 2 SBD (say) from Qustodian delegation you would now get 2.1 SBD and this will grow as the SP of the bot itself grows

    Thanks for the clarification!

Pleasure. I sometimes forget people don't know what I know and I need to be very very clear

You do; as at least I struggle to understand what you are cooking inside that brilliant brain of yours! Cheers I got your back :)

thanks for the update and upgrade for the delegator. Unfortunately I ahve not qualified yet for the delegation I will work on it
    Cheers

What is the ROI if I delegate 14,000 SP?

The ROI is the same for everyone as it is a %. If you are asking how high is the ROI, you can go look through each of the daily posts. The ROI on average is 30%, but if SBD prices go up, so will your ROI, if the go down ROI does as well.

To give an idea, SBD price is currently $3 per SBD. If this goes up to $6, the ROI goes to 60%, if it goes to $2, the ROI goes to 20%. For every $1 the SBD price is, the ROI is approximately 10%.

To put this into numbers you can currently expect 4200 SBD per year from the bot for your 14000 SP

If you are looking for max returns I think currently the bot gives the second most in the market. In future it is likely to grow to first as I give the income generated by the bot SP to delegators, but once the bot gets larger I will employ a loyalty penalty, i.e. those that delegated longer and more get a larger portion of those payouts. Currently everyone is getting it
