#Tasty Tuesday - Tuna salad

in qurator •  6 years ago

Tuna salad it is.
All I need is in my pantry and I still want to empty it before I go shopping again.
The only thing I bought were 4 tomatoes.

The tuna is canned, chunks in oil.
There are no fish shops over here and this way I can save it too (I have no fridge or freezer). I do not care about oil or fat, but carbohydrates.

The sweet corn is canned too.
I bought it half the price and although I am not able to digest it, I like the taste plus it gives some colour to the food.

The tomatoes I bought.
I just used 2. If I buy, I only do so if they are on sale. The prices of vegetables and fruit are getting higher and higher. Soon it is food for the rich.

I do not use the heart of tomatoes, they say it causes cancer. If so I think it is mainly because in the heart is a higher concentration of chemicals.

Perhaps I will have some plants again this year if I feel well enough. Do not know where to keep them yet since the dogs jump on it plus steal the tomatoes as well.

Some pepper, garlic and mayonnaise.
Just stir it together and let it stay for some time (hours or 1 day is fine it will only taste better).

Some people add potoes to it, onions, pieces, pickles, red or green pepper, peas instead of corn, carrots, etc. If you do not like tuna you can use parts of boiled egg or ham instead.

I will eat it just so, but you can also put it on your toastbread or add it to your green salad.

All pictures are made by me with my smartphone Samsung J5.

This is my entry at @qurator its Tasty Tuesday #63.
