2 caricatures. One is racist and the other one isn't. Guess why?

So the whole "everything is racist" thing that still lingers in the United States is one that I am well and truly sick of hearing. It is such a copout debate any time someone doesn't get what they want. Just call the other people racist and you win.

I do think that the race-baiters and activists have over-played their cards though and for most sensible people, their continued cries are starting to fall on increasingly deaf ears. BLM and the riots and calls for defunding the police certainly didn't help things.

Recently, someone pointed to a post where a troll was attempting to get people all wound up about a sports bar that featured a caricature of Tiger Woods and he pretended to be outraged that it existed. The bar name was made up to protect the innocent, but sure enough, people took the bait and joined in the faked outrage and soon it became a collective. I don't know how far this spread but it was all a setup from the start. The original poster just wanted to see how easily people could be tricked into calling something racist when there is nothing there.

Here is the picture in question. Like clockwork, the SJW's lined up to denounce the fictional bar owner and even started hashtags trying to cancel it even though the place isn't even real. These ARE real paintings, they just aren't in a sports bar, they are in someone's house who is an artist. Later, the same poster put up another caricature to see if it would get the same reaction.

I don't think that I need to tell you for you to already know that this caricature of Nadal did not get the same reaction that the Tiger Woods one did. The same exaggerated lips and nose are evident on both paintings and of course neither one of these men actually look like this because these are friggin caricatures! They are supposed to look silly.

The original person later revealed that it was all a setup and I am sure a bunch of Tweets got deleted as a consequence. Turns out the artist, who didn't want to be named because the mob would almost certainly come after him, is himself black and a sports fan as well as a fan of making artwork.

It just shows what a crazy country and world we live in - I fear it is mostly just the USA, when you can get people whipped up into a frenzy so easily from a story that isn't even real. It's also funny to me that despite the fact that both of the paintings are quite similar, it was only the one of the black person that anyone got upset about. Making a very unflattering painting of a Western European? No problem at all there.

Well, the second one is on a knee, lol...
Just kidding, but yes, I agree much of the racist/cancel "culture," is born of a media-manufactored result, one built not only to sell a product, but to politicize and control the masses. In fact, we now are the PRODUCT, groups traded, bundled and sold.
Anyway, up late, glad to read something other than my Google feed, thanks.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hadn't thought about the knee thing. good thing he was on both of them and not one because that would have been racist or something.
