Racism: L’oreal slammed for firing transgender model who said ‘all white people are racist’

Only yesterday, I included a reference in one of my posts that students are now being taught that it is not possible to be racist towards white people because they have too much "privilege".

What I forgot to add is that they are also being taught that all white people are racist. This is highlighted by the news that "L’oreal slammed for firing transgender model who said ‘all white people are racist’".

Here is the first sentence from the article.

Cosmetic giant L’oreal is being criticized for firing its first ever transgender model, Munroe Bergdorf, after she stated online that “all white people are racist.”

While most people would agree that the statement about all white people being racist is ridiculous, she has reportedly received lots of support for her statement online.

In her defence, she says,

When I stated that "all white people are racist", I was addressing that fact that western society as a whole, is a system rooted in white supremacy - designed to benefit, prioritise and protect white people before anyone of any other race. Unknowingly, white people are socialised to be racist from birth onwards. It is not something genetic. No one is born racist.

However, it appears that she still feels it right to address criticism at a whole group of people based on the color of their skin. Or, is that only when the group being targeted is whites?
