This article started off echoing much of what I've already said -- namely, that Sebold doesn't deserve the hate. She didn't lie about being raped. I'm certain that she was legitimately a victim of one of the worst crimes that a person could be subjected to. I also know that she was young and understandably traumatized.
Then it goes off the rails and accuses Sebold as being downright racist.
If her attacker were a black man, which we have no reason to believe was a false claim on her part, she would have described him as such. Even if she did have some moments of racial bias after having been raped by a black man, one should be able to give her some slack for being a young girl who was violently assaulted and had some momentary lapses in trust and judgment.
This reads as backhanded support and the author is missing the point.
