Well, I guess I can finally spill the beans now, since the first episode is in the can.

Almost a year after surrendering my post as technical producer of the Brown County Hour to the supremely competent Chuck Wills, I find myself back in the radio business. Not only that, but I'm partnering again with my long-time buddy and cohort Frank Jones, two years after our musical adventures (as Foster Jones and Acoustic Mayhem) wound down.

I've taken on the role as producer of the LOST CABIN LODGE, a monthly one-hour radio program launched by Frank and our good friend Del Sheets in January, broadcasting the first Sunday of the month at 11am on Classic Hits WQTY 93.3 FM over in Linton, IN. Frank Jones, as you might expect, is the host. Already you gotta be thinking there's trouble a-brewing... and you'd be right!

The reason for the transition will be made public on our debut episode of the show "under new management", coming up July 2, 2017. It's a sad story, but has a happy ending. The show will be archived on YouTube shortly thereafter, so don't fret if you're outside the WQTY listening area, you'll be able to stream the thing and hear what Jonesy and I up to.

We're very pleased to feature on our inaugural broadcast The Hammer and The Hatchet (John Bowyer and Jayme Hood), with special guest Mary Skirvin contributing a lovely track (with piano and accordion by Steve Allee), as well. And yes, Jones and I team up to pull a musical rabbit out the hat, first take, zero rehearsal... that's just how we roll. We got jams for daze on this show!

Several new segments never heard before on the Lost Cabin Lodge will also be launched, including our monthly "Precious Metals & Cryptocurrency Report", and an often-requested feature, "Take My Advice, I'm Not Using It", where real fake listeners email us with questionable questions which only the questionable intellect of Frank Jones can answer. Ultimate enlightenment is not guaranteed, but a reasonably decent satori, probably. If that fails, you're in for a good laugh.

Our website's the same, http://www.lostcabinlodge.com but it's in a state of redesign, so don't expect all the usual bells and whistles yet for a few days.

So mark your calendars for Sunday, July 2, 2017. That's when all hell is scheduled to break loose.
