Rafale Fighter Jets are one of the most expensive aircraft on the international market. India has signed 36 jet aircraft for about Rs 60,000.
Rafale is produced in the F-18, MiG-29 or F-35 competition but does not benefit much from the economic scale. Rafael has done the worst in the world market.

India celebrates the arrival of Rafale Jets, military experts not only questioned its capabilities when dealing with American aircraft, but also why Rafale aircraft fail to compete in global arms markets.
Experts say that because of the high cost, a number of factors have emerged, such as inefficiency in the country's defense sector.

Dassault's Rafale was not the only Indian one as many aircraft manufacturers had applied for MMRCA tenders. Six well-known aircraft manufacturers are vying to win 126 jet (CONTRACT) contracts, which we consider to be India's largest defense agreement.

Newcomers to the tender include Lockheed Martin F16 Boeing's F / A18S, Eurofighter Typhoon, MiG-35 of Russia, Saa Gripen of Sweden and Rafale Fighter Jets of Dassault. All aircraft were inspected by the Indian Air Force and after careful analysis of the bids, two of them - the Eurofighter Typhoon and Dassault Rafale - were listed.
Dassault has secured a contract to supply 126 airlines as it was one of the lowest bidder and the maintenance of the aircraft is much easier than other airlines.
After Rafale got the contract, the Indian side and the Dassault company started talking about it in 2012. Although initially there were plans to purchase 126 jets, India reduced it to 36. All of these planes were sold by airline.
No Buyers For Rafale?

After a massive process of testing and bidding, there were no buyers of French-selected jets from India. After France and India, only Qatar and Egypt use Rafale jets and in limited quantities.
The Eurasian Times reported that Russian aviation experts said that Rafale planes were useless when facing China Air Force (PLAAF). The Rafale jet has the highest speed of Mach 1.8 while the Chinese J16s have the highest speed of Mach 2.4.
Rafael's functional roof is less than J-16s. The inclusion of Chinese J-16s aka Russian Su-35s engine is also much superior than the French military aircraft Rafale. A Russian expert says that even if the Indian Air Force (IAF) uses all 36 aircraft purchased at the Chinese border, it cannot withstand the technology of Chinese aviation.
Analysts believe in Rafale Fighter Jets that too little light for airtime and high cost does not allow them to succeed. Which means that countries that want high-quality wars will one day consider buying heavy and powerful aircraft like the F-15 or the Su-35.
While those who are expecting moderate or less expensive fighter jets can look for more expensive aircraft like F-16V, F-18E or MiG-35.
In the 2000s South Korea and Singapore opted for the F-15 over Rafael. In 2015, Egypt purchased 24 aircraft with 12 other options under a comprehensive arm agreement with France.

According to analysts, the price of the aircraft is very low and many countries choose to buy not only American jets because of the high technology but to please Americans rather than France. Rafael has lost a battle in the global market despite his praise.
