Here in this post, we're going to see about a service called Rakuten which is formerly known as Ebates which grants cashback for your online purchases. All you need to create a free Rakuten account and just do your online shopping like you usually do. I will also show you the process of adding the Rakuten browser extension, how to activate the cashback and will show you the payment proof of mine.

So, to get started, come all the way down and choose this 'Getting Started' label then here you will find how the Rakuten works. To Install the browser addon, just click on 'Get the Button' and it will take you to the respective store to install the Rakuten Browser extension.
Here I'm using the Chrome browser, so it took me to the Chrome web store, choose 'Add to Chrome' then 'Add extension'. That's it. You will now see the Addon right next to the chrome user. Make sure to check whether you logged to your Rakuten account or not before making a purchase.
Now visit the store where you would like to shop. Here I'm using Lenovo.com as an example. There you see the notification at the top to activate the cashback. For Lenovo, it was 7% at the time of recording this post. Just choose Activate and there you go. Your cashback with Lenovo is now activated and you can check the status anytime during the shopping trip by choosing the Rakuten extension.
After your purchase, you will get an email from the Rakuten in 24 hours stating that your cashback is added to your account. Let me show you the payment proof of mine. Here is the cheque history of Rakuten. For privacy reasons, I need to hide the order number. You can see here, the payment was sent through the Paypal in the month of February and this is my lifetime cashback earned.
Let me show you the Paypal statement for the cashback I earned through Rakuten. Regarding the Payment Schedule, you will get paid according to this schedule if you have more than $5 in your account. If your approved cashback is $5 or less, it will carry over to the next following period.
