Vietnamese sandwich Bahnmi recipe

KakaoTalk_Photo_2017-09-06-22-52-56_70.jpeg

Hello, this is @ramengirl. Today I’m going to show you how to make a Vietnamese sandwich Bahn mi.

I love Vietnamese food so much, but I haven’t been to Vietnam yet So sadly I only have eaten Vietnamese food in Korea.

Bahn mi is really delicious, and also nutritious food which is perfect for a meal! But it will take a while to make it! However, it is so delicious that it is worth making it, so please try to make it. <3

Okiii let's get started!

First of all, I’m going to pickle radish and carrots. Mix 3 cups of hot water, half a cup of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of salt, 10 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of fish sauce and put the radish and carrots in it. And then, please leave it in the refrigerator at least about an hour. You can save some time by using food slicer when you cut the radish and carrots. My wrist was very sore haha.

I used this fish sauce!

And I’m gonna marinate the pork as well. Cut 300g of pork into a good size to eat and, add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of starch syrup (you can replace with sugar), 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic and 1/2 tablespoon of chopped ginger. Mix the sauce with meat and put it in a plastic bag and keep it in the refrigerator for an hour.

Now let’s make the sauce! The sauce is really simple! You only need mayonnaise and sriracha sauce (you can also skip it if you do not have sriracha sauce). I like spicy, so I used 5 spoons of mayonnaise and 1 spoonful of sriracha.

It 's been over an hour, so let’s fry the meat. If you caramelize the meat it would be more delicious.

Please prepare sliced cucumber and coriander as well :)

Put the sauce on the bread and put the sliced cucumber.

And then put the meat.

Put pickled vegetables and coriander. If you don’t like coriander, you can skip it! If you want to have even more spicy one, you can add pepper or jalapeno. Finally finished;)

The process was pretty long but it is really delicious After eating this sandwich, I want to go to Vietnam more!!
