Returning from visiting my parents a few years ago

When a Picture Post Turns into Random Realization

Visiting my parents were the only two reasons for traveling to my contrasting environment of a hometown. However, whenever I'd return from these trips, I always felt back on track and more "focused" than ever; thus, believing I was getting a recharge of sorts. As I became more conscious of the divergence of lifestyles between my hometown peers and myself, I'm realizing that those "recharges" were my subconscious need for their approval being discharged. This liberation allows me to become even more aligned with reviving my true self by confidently following the path that resonates with me as opposed to following the path of conformity and becoming a shriveled up shadow of myself.
