This was at least in part due to a glitch on steemd.com. I was relying on only downvotes having a 'weight' of 0, but it appears that upvote weights decay until they reach 0 as well.. so I need to find better a better data source.

They aren't my post. They are some front page post that have no reason to be downvoted afaict. The only reason I can come up with is that someone wants them off the front page, perhaps for a screenshot for an advertisement. I don't know. I probably should have just left it alone. I have an issue noticing anomalies and tend to bring them up. ;)

I've never noticed that many downvotes in one day. Oddly enough there are a lot of the same accounts on the same post doing it. So, yeah it's a "conspiracy theory". ;)
