"I would rather live for a day and touch everyone’s life, than to live for hundred years and not be remembered by anyone".
This write up came to my mind with the experience i had yesterday when i got the prompting to do what i am about to explain and i always have these promptings most times and i always do it randomly, even in cabs, but yesterday was a little different from the others, hence the reason i decided to share this, if not i wouldn’t have, and i am also sharing this due to the challenge and movement my very adorable friend @everlove started few days ago #RandomActsOfKindness and #ThankYouForBeing which she did last week. You should try them too.
She is doing these movements to spread love and create unity. Someone once said, "We will soon start caring if we fake it for too long". But here, we are trying to be deliberate about caring, touching lives, leaving it better than we met it and spreading happiness. Thank you dear friend @everlove for all you do. God bless your selfless amazing heart. Amen.

I took a bike with this lady yesterday. She dropped before me and immediately, when she was still trying to bring out her money to pay, i tapped the bike man to leave, that i will sort him out. This lady stood there, stunned, lost, rapt in awe and forgive me to exaggerate a little (that’s what we writers do in describing situations sometimes 😂😂😂) jaw dropped . She was still standing till the bike left and i could only think about few things as to why she was left dazed. The look on her face was priceless and left me with a feeling of satisfaction of making at least someone happy and surprised and it didn’t have to be with something massive, the fare was so little. I guess she wasn’t esperring (expecting) it In Jenifa’s voice.

Little things matter to people, we just don’t realize it. We always wait till it is massive or huge, but we need not wait till then. Do good where you are, right there, right now. Giving is not giving until you give to someone who might not be able to repay you, ever. I don’t know her name, and like i said, all the randoms i do, i don’t always know their names and there is a very high chance i might never see her again…and i don’t usually see them again.
The look on her face that prompted me to write this anyway gave me different perspectives. One, maybe, just maybe, she is not used to receiving things. Two, maybe, just maybe, it met her at the point where she needed it the most. Three, maybe, just maybe, she waited a little while, thinking i might ask for her number. Four, maybe, just maybe, she has this thought that guys don’t do things for free. Five, maybe, just maybe, she just had the answer to her prayer. I said that last statement because, during service in Church one time like that, a friend of mine (Pamela), needed a confirmation from God to know God still cares for her and will sort her out, because she was trusting God for provision, and right there, God gave me the prompting to buy something for her after service and i quickly sent her a text (which i hardly do during services), to tell her i need to get her something to eat after service and she should wait, and right there, she got her answer. She was so excited about God and told me the moment she prayed that prayer, few minutes after was when she got my text. No words could adequately do justice to how excited i was when she said that. Nothing gets me more excited than giving.
So, how can we know we are making a difference and what state people are in, if we don’t reach out, do little things and follow the prompting in our hearts? Most of the time, we shun it and focus just on ourselves. Life is more than just about us. It’s more about the impacts and the memories we give people as we pass through life.
If we care enough, share enough, the world will have enough. The world have enough of our needs but never enough for our greed.
Life is a journey. I always refer to the Bible; Acts 10:38 which says "Jesus went about doing good…". That has always been my watchword.
So, do something for others when you get that prompting, don’t hesistate and even when you don’t have that prompting yet, feel the need to, because you don’t know whose life might depend on it.
"You might be sitting next to a broken person and wouldn't know it".
Someone's life might depend on your act of kindness. It doesn't have to be physical or material. It could be a smile, a word, an appreciation, a commendation, a compliment, a hug, an assurance, a grip of the hand, a listening ear, a calm soothing voice or word, a gift!.
I heard a story of a man who was going to kill himself and someone just walked past him, complimented on how good he looked, he paused, turned back to the house and wept. He changed his mind about suicide that day. All he needed was to know someone cares, that there are still some good left in the world, that he shouldn't give up too soon.
Shout out to all the amazing people i have met on here, you are too many to name. I just want you all to know, i love you and you matter. I am never taking you for granted. Thank you.
Have a great day people.

Exactly, we should not wait for the huge opportunity to give and be kind. And yes more is about so much (or many) more than just us. I cannot see why I should chose not to give if I gets the opportunity.
Great post, well written and excellent message:)

Yes, you are absolutely right. That's what we should live for. Happiness is really contagious. You can't shine light on the path for another to walk and you will walk in darkness. Never. Thanks a lot.

I have learnt so many things reading this. You brought back the heart of Jesus. We should listen to our hearts, as we respond to people's plight. God is watching us from above, and what we do to people in need we do to Him. Well done brother.
